Who We Are
Our Next Generation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, community-based organization that provides academic support and enrichment programs for students, kindergarten through high school, in central Milwaukee.
Our programs are designed to address a holistic view of the needs of our community’s children and young adults. This means that in addition to providing focused academic support, we seek to:

Create a nurturing environment where children feel welcomed, safe, and valued.

Build a collaborative network of parents, families, teachers, volunteers and staff to support each student’s needs.

Foster meaningful and sustained one-on-one relationships between students and their volunteer mentors.

Expand students’ horizons by exposing them to a variety of enriching environments and potential future careers.

Invest students in protecting, improving, and taking pride in their neighborhood and local community.

Our Mission
Our Next Generation (ONG) was incorporated as a non-profit in 1993 with a mission to serve the children of our neighborhoods with programs focused on improving educational outcomes and life skills. Located in one of Milwaukee’s
poorest neighborhoods, our organization provides after-school and summer academic enrichment and personal development programs for more than
1,000 youth and their families
