Richard H. Dean is Managing Partner of Robeson Partners LLC, a family investment management group, and two real estate holding operations. From 1971 to 1990, Mr. Dean served in various marketing management capacities at several machinery manufacturing operations of Milwaukee based Sterling Inc., including its Sterlco, Ball & Jewell, Carver, Wabash, and Sterltech divisions.
He has actively supported and been focused on a variety of civic and community efforts involving family services and youth education programs and institutions. Mr. Dean is a past president of the Friends of the Milwaukee Public Museum and also of its Tirimbina Rainforest Center in Costa Rica. He is a longtime board member and past officer of Our Next Generation Inc. an award-winning Milwaukee central city tutoring and mentoring program. He also is currently president of the Bluecoats Foundation of Milwaukee which assists the families and dependents of fallen public safety officers.
Mr. Dean is a past president of the Northwestern University National Alumni Association. In 1997, Mr. Dean was elected to the Northwestern University Board of Trustees where he continues to serve as an officer of the board and member of the executive committee.
He received his B.A. in business from Northwestern in 1969 and his master’s degree in 1971 from the University of California, Los Angeles. Rich and his wife, Jane reside in Mequon, WI and are the parents of two adult children and three grandchildren who live on the west coast.
