"It continues to amaze me, when a number of students in our program don't even have a winter coat, gloves or a hat, yet they are determined to overcome the poverty they have grown up in, and they are on track to graduate from high school and attend college."
- ONG Community Volunteer
"My volunteer has been with me since I was in 2nd grade," reports Jamal, "he's like a big brother to me."

One out of every 7 children live in poverty.
Milwaukee has one of the highest child poverty rates in the country.
By mentoring a child, you will help to improve their chances of success.
Give of your time NOW to Our Next Generation.

Children who live in poverty have increased chances
of academic failure and school drop out.
Therefore, CRITICAL that Our Next Generation recruits the needed volunteers to support the students' educational needs and personal growth.
Our goal is to keep students positively connected to their school, classroom and the community.

Our Community Investment
Our Next Generation makes an important investment in our community, offering our next generation of children support to achieve a successful tomorrow.
In the early 1990s, a visionary group of volunteers formed The Homework Club and committed their personal time to help children from the central city area through one-on-one tutoring. Soon after, Our Next Generation, Inc. was formed as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.
Since then thousands of children have benefited from the tutoring and guidance of caring and concerned volunteers. Children participate in a variety of programs including the Homework Club, Learning Centers, the High School Connection, our special Middle School program, LINK, and our Outbound Tutoring programs in partnership with Manpower, St. John's on the Lake and University School of Milwaukee.
In 2009, our agency is celebrating 16 years of providing quality academic support and life skills programs to hundreds of urban children and youth, pre-K through 12th grades.
The results are amazing. Attitudes improve, grades improve, new visions are created.
This is Our Next Generation.
